About TruckCompanies.org
truckcompanies.org lists US trucking companies by state, metro area and freight type. Every figure comes from public government data: FMCSA's carrier, authority, inspection and crash files, the Census Bureau's County Business Patterns and the Bureau of Labor Statistics' wage survey.
Who runs this site
The site is published by TruckCompanies.org, an independent publisher. It is not affiliated with FMCSA, USDOT, the Census Bureau or BLS, or with any carrier, broker, insurer or load board.
Contact: contact@truckcompanies.org. Corrections, questions about a listing and anything else go to the same address.
How the site is updated
Every Sunday at 06:00 UTC, an automated refresh pulls FMCSA's public datasets from data.transportation.gov, rebuilds every page and runs checks on the data before anything is published. If a check fails, nothing changes that week and the previous pages stay up.
FMCSA's registration files change often, and its inspection and crash files are published monthly; every figure on the site shows the as-of date of its source. Census and BLS figures are annual: the refresh checks for a new release every week and uses it once it is published.
Last refresh: Sep 27, 2026. FMCSA census data as of Sep 26, 2026.
Editorial policy
Every page is built from the same published rules, for every place and every carrier. The rules are on the methodology page.
Figures we calculate are labeled as derived. They are not FMCSA safety ratings, and we do not rate or rank carriers.
Nobody can pay to be left out, to change a figure, or to change how carriers are ordered. Any paid placement we ever offer will be clearly labeled as sponsored and kept separate from the directory. The site may show ads; advertisers have no say in what we publish.
We publish carriers' names and locations as registered with FMCSA. We never publish their contact details or the names of company officers, even where the source data contains them.
Corrections policy
Registration data, such as a carrier's address, fleet size, cargo classes or operating authority, comes from FMCSA. To change it, update the registration with FMCSA. Our pages show the change once it reaches FMCSA's public files, which does not always happen promptly.
If we got something wrong, such as a calculation, a label or the place a carrier is counted in, email contact@truckcompanies.org with the page address and what is wrong. We check every report against the source data. When we have made a mistake, we fix it, and any correction that changes a published figure or statement is listed below with its date.
Listings follow the same rules for every carrier, so we do not remove a carrier that meets them on request, except where the law requires it. A carrier that stops meeting them, for example when its operating authority ends, drops off with the next refresh.
Corrections so far: none.
